ｕｐｄａｔｅ: It wasn't the batteries, it was the camera. It took about 3 weeks for the replacement batteries to arrive, then I spent another week testing them. They appeared not to work and I just felt like surely that could not be the case, days later the camera stopped working altogether and we couldn't get it to turn on. I was a few days outside of Amazon's return window at this point and they were not going to allow me to return it. But then they couldn't follow the on-screen prompts to put me in touch with the seller because of the batteries and they gave up and let me return it. In this case, buyer beware and buy at your own risk. In addition to receiving a defective camera, they billed me a DAMAGE FEE as if I broke the camera. The camera did not work properly out of the box. I immediately reported this to Amazon and they encouraged me to get replacement batteries to see if that fixed the problem. I guess my mistake was assuming it was the batteries, I should have just returned the piece of junk as soon as I realized it didn't work properly. That was my mistake and I won't make it again. So not only do you run the risk of purchasing a broken camera but you also run the risk of being billed for the broken camera. And the damage fee has nothing to do with any additional damage they might want to claim we caused the camera because it was AUTOMATICALLY billed to my Amazon account as soon as the return was posted after it was scanned after dropping it off at the UPS, it hadn't even been shipped yet. The camera is cheap. not well made. And for the price, you can get a better brand and higher quality camera. I would avoid this seller and product at all costs.
